Our Story

THE HISTORY OF LITTLE RED

It all started when…

“I studied Advertising, Communications, and Digital Media in college and I always had an interest in marketing, brand partnerships, commercials, etc. In May 2015, the year I graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder, was the first year that Bachelor contestants started getting a following on Instagram and the year I realized I wanted to work for ‘those contestants’ who started making ads on Instagram. I had no idea where to start or what jobs to apply for in Los Angeles and everyone thought I was crazy for saying I wanted to work with people I saw on television because they were famous and I’d never have a chance. A month after graduating, I was offered an amazing job at Oracle in San Francisco and I handled their internal communications and events. After three years, I knew I finally needed to move to Los Angeles and find a job where I could be part of influencer marketing industry. I applied to almost every brand out there that did brand partnerships with influencers but had no luck.

After a couple of months in Los Angeles, I worked as an assistant at a Commercial Talent Agency where we managed 360 campaigns for our celebrity clients. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about the industry but deep down I still knew that I wanted to focus my time on social media partnerships with reality TV stars and influencers versus A-list celebrity talent (hi Brad Pitt, Little Red Management will still be here for you if you’re interested though)! I decided to move on after about a year so I could start my own company! During those 4 years (even when I was living in San Francisco and working at Oracle), I would volunteer for reality TV star events and volunteer my time to help other reality TV stars with their social media, podcasts, and websites. Essentially, I’d do whatever I could to build those relationships with them so that when the time came, I could work with them and help them become a success. My biggest piece of advice is - slide into those DMs!”
